What is level g in i-ready?

Level G in i-Ready is typically designed for students who are in the 7th or 8th grade. This level focuses on increasing the complexity and sophistication of students' reading abilities and comprehension.

In Level G, students are expected to demonstrate a deep understanding of the text, identify and analyze literary devices, and make inferences and draw conclusions based on the information provided. They are asked to make connections between the text and their own experiences, as well as analyze the author's purpose and point of view.

The reading passages at this level are longer and more complex, often covering a wide range of genres such as fiction, non-fiction, poetry, biographies, and historical texts. Vocabulary becomes more challenging, and the focus is on using context clues and word analysis skills to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words.

Throughout Level G, students are also expected to demonstrate mastery of previous skills learned in earlier levels, such as summarizing texts, identifying main ideas and supporting details, and making predictions. Additionally, they will work on expanding their own vocabulary and improving their writing by including evidence and justification for their ideas.

Overall, Level G in i-Ready provides 7th and 8th-grade students with an opportunity to further develop their reading skills, comprehension abilities, critical thinking skills, and analytical skills necessary for success in higher-level education.
